Singer songwriters Helen and Tim Spangler are a husband and wife duo from Davis, CA.  They met while attending UC Davis and Tim asked Helen to join his rock band; they've been writing songs together ever since.  Nominated for a SAMMIE (Sacramento Area Music Award) in 2015 and 2016 in the folk rock category, their songs have an upbeat pop appeal.  After releasing their second album, We're All Fine Here Now, Spangler was featured in Sacramento News and Review and performed on the headliner's stage at Sacramento Music Festival 2015 opening for Sean Mullins, Eve 6 and Everclear. They had the honor or representing the festival on Fox 40 News and Good Day Sacramento where they played "Soul to the River", "Seven the Hard Way", "Just Jane",  "Tumbling Down", and "A Minute More" and were interviewed as one of the "featured bands" for the festival.  They have also been guests on the KDRT's The Artists Connection, May 2015, have been on Listening Lyrics with Pieter Pastoor KDRT and KDVS's Saturday Morning Folk Show with Bill Wagman where they have spoken about songwriting and the challenges of the working musician.  Spangler worked with producer and multi instrumentalist, Jay Davidson (Whitney Houston, Steve Winwood, Nelson, Cinderella, Swift Technique and Brit Floyd) on their second album, Soul to the River which was recorded at MorningStar Studios with Grammy award winning Glenn Barrett engineering, mixing and mastering. It was released in the Fall 2016.
